I joined Schola Academy of English when I was in Grade 4, after being recommended by a friend. Learning under Mrs. Theja Karunarathne was one of the best experiences of my life. Her unique and inspiring teaching style made lessons easy to remember and enjoyable. Thanks to her guidance, I achieved A passes for English Language at both O/L and A/L examinations. I completed my O/Ls at Yasodara Vidyalaya and my A/Ls in the Bio Stream at Visakha Vidyalaya, Colombo 05. Currently, I am reading a BSc. degree in Biotechnology and Microbiology (English Medium) at the University of Colombo, and the skills I gained at Schola Academy of English have been a strong foundation for my academic journey. Just after A/Ls, I was selected to work at two major companies in Sri Lanka, an achievement I credit to the confidence and communication skills built through Schola Academy of English. I also completed an NVQ Diploma in Teaching English as a Second Language and had the privilege of helping Mrs. Theja Karunarathne with her classes for a few months before starting my degree. Coming from a non-English-speaking background, I can proudly say that my fluency, writing skills and confidence were all developed at Schola Academy of English. Mrs. Theja Karunarathne is not only a talented and dedicated teacher but also a kind, hardworking, and supportive mentor who understands each student deeply. I am truly grateful to her and the friendly staff at Schola Academy of English. I highly recommend Schola Academy of English to anyone who wishes to improve their English and grow in both academics and life.

I’m Thenugi Karunaratne, and I joined Schola Academy of English from Grade 8. Though I wish I had discovered this amazing place earlier, I’m truly grateful for the time I spent here. Under the guidance of Mrs. Theja Karunaratne, learning English became interesting, practical, and enjoyable. Her easy grammar methods, active workshops, O/L revision programs, and regular practice papers helped me build confidence and achieve best results in both O/L English and A/L General English. Mrs. Theja is a talented, kind, and understanding teacher who always brings out the best in every student. The spoken, primary, and Cambridge classes at Schola are lively, confidence-boosting, and full of meaningful learning experiences.All the other teachers also do a fantastic job, supporting students with care and dedication. A special highlight of my journey was the opportunity to work at Schola as a Teaching Assistant, which gave me valuable experience and unforgettable memories. I am truly thankful to Mrs. Theja for believing in me, for her dedication, and for guiding us all toward success. Now, as a university student, I truly realize how much Schola English has helped me.
